I bought this necklace as a gold box deal. From the other review about it being more of a navy, I was a bit hesitant, as I loved the sky blue color in the picture. It was still nice so I went ahead anyway and I'm glad that I did!
Not only is the piece beautiful and sparkly, but also the stones are a PERFECT sky blue! Even my husband was impressed when he saw it. Pendant is a good size too. 5 stars!

This is a gorgeous pendant! The color of the blue topaz is a little bit deeper than the picture shown (more of a clear royal blue than sky blue, though in darker lighting, they can appear a clear navy!). The necklace comes with a delicate chain, which goes with the pendant well because the chain doesn't attract attention to itself. But if you're concerned, the pendant has a really big bail, so you can easily change the chain to suit your needs.
And from what I gathered online, "coated blue topaz" is to describe the technique used to get the blue color into the stones. This technique is different from the traditional way to getting the topaz blue. But anyway, I didn't read anything that said the coating technique would lose its effects or that the color would ever fade or come off. So the pendant should stay blue :)
