 Battery Charger Replacement that fits! July 13, 2010

I have gone through three different sellers of "Dell laptop replacement battery chargers". I have had to return the other two due to them not working or not having the right fit to the computer. This company took a long time to ship but did fit my DELL VOSTRO 1000 very well. We have had it for over 3 months and have had no problems. It's a little more expensive than other companies on amazon but the connection will defintly fit and the power supply will work.

Arrived very quickly with one day shipping over holiday weekend. Unit was lighter than the Dell OEM and feels less robust, however it performs fine and has a longer cord to computer.

My adapter has been trouble free since my purchase a month ago. The cable is shorter than the OEM version and buying an extension cord solves the problem. The item was shipped very quickly. For $6 its a good deal compared to $30+ for an Dell OEM adapter.

Purchased the charger- it didn't work. Voltage not consistant. Vista told me the voltage was wrong. The charger finally fried the charging section of the computer.

Nearly every time I plug it into the socket, there is a relatively large spark. This happens whether or not the other end is plugged into my laptop. This power cord gets extremely hot, so be careful and aware of where it is. The length is just a little bit too short - it doesn't reach as far as the Dell cord did which has been surprisingly frustrating. All in all, it works, but I am continually irritated by its little shortcomings.
